(Lander, WY) – The League of Women Voters of Fremont County (LWVFC) and the League of Women Voters of Wyoming (LWVWY) will host Governor Mark Gordon for a Town Hall meeting on Thursday, October 23, discussing Wyoming’s democratic process.
“We are honored to host this Town Hall with Governor Gordon and provide Fremont County citizens the opportunity to ask the Governor questions about the current state of our democracy,” stated Linda Barton, the LWVFC president.
The town hall will be held at the Inn at Lander, 260 Grandview Drive, Wind River and Fremont Rooms. Doors will open at 2:30 P.M. The presentation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.
Governor Gordon will begin with a 5-minute presentation, followed by questions from the League, which will be moderated by Linda Barton and Stephanie Kessler. Audience questions will be allowed as time permits.
“The League of Women Voters of Fremont County knows citizens are eager to understand the government’s role in educating the public about how elections operate and the impact of those decisions on everyday Wyomingites, said Ms. Barton. “Our goal is to empower voters with the knowledge necessary to engage in our democracy.”
