(Lander, WY) – The City of Lander, Fremont County, and the American Legion Post #33/VFW Post #954 are once again partnering for the annual 9/11 Memorial event, which will take place at the Lander Fire Hall on September 11, promptly at 9 AM.
This year’s service marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that occurred on American soil on September 11, 2001, including the plane crashes at the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York City, the plane crash at the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, and the attempted hijacking of United Airlines Flight 93, which ultimately crashed in a rural Pennsylvania field during a passenger revolt.
