(Lander, WY) – The annual Light Up Lander parade will kick off the holiday season on Saturday, December 6.
The festivities begin at 5:30 PM at the corner of Main Street and Baldwin Creek Road, with the parade ending at 2nd Street/Main Street. Lander Independent Baptist Church will be passing out free cookies and cocoa before the parade at Centennial Park.
For any of Santa’s helpers who are interested in entering a float for the parade, they can contact City Hall at 307-332-2870 x113 to register for free (by December 1st). (Parade registration is always free through the City of Lander. Do not fall victim to those who might be scamming you for vendor fees.)
After the parade, there will be free cookies and cocoa at the Lander Valley High School commons area, courtesy of Lander Performing Arts, where the Man in Red himself will make an appearance after the reindeer help him off of his parade float.
The BYU Wind Symphony will then have a special holiday performance at 7 PM (at LVHS). Tickets will be available at the door, or you can purchase them now online.
