(Riverton, WY) – Missing and murdered indigenous person advocacy group MMIR 307 will be hosting a 5K/1K Run & Walk this Saturday, October 11, to help raise awareness for the cause.
The event begins at 5 PM, at the CWC Intertribal Community Center.
“After the run/walk, we will gather for a community vigil to lift up all our MMIR relatives and loved ones,” organizers shared. “Please bring photos, pictures, or signs of your loved ones as we come together to honor their memory and support one another in healing.”
Foundations of Nations will also be providing 100 free meals for participants and families.
“Let’s continue to walk in unity, healing, and remembrance as we honor those who came before us and those we still seek today.”
