(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County community will celebrate National Night Out 2025 with an evening of “fun, food and connection” 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Riverton Fire Station, 404 S. Broadway.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make local neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live, according to the NNO website.
“National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community,” the website says. “Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
“Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.”
The Riverton Police Department says it’s “counting down the days” until National Night Out 2025.
“A huge THANK YOU to all the amazing community members, local organizations, donors, and sponsors who are making this event possible,” the RPD said in a Facebook post. “Come out and join us for a night of fun, food, and community as we come together to strengthen neighborhood spirit and public safety partnerships. Your support means the world to us — we couldn’t do it without you!”
