(Fremont County, WY) – Wind River Family and Community Health Care’s Tribal Victim Services program will hold an MMIP Day 5K Prayer Run/Walk on Monday, May 5, to mark MMIP Awareness Day.
Registration for the event opens at 5:30 p.m. Monday at all three start locations, including Washakie Mineral Hot Springs and Wyoming Indian Elementary School for 5K runners and Blue Sky Hall for walkers on the one-mile route, which ends at Shoshone and Arapaho Head Start.
The start time for all routes is 6 p.m., with all participants meeting afterward at Blue Sky Hall for a community cedaring at 7 p.m.
There is no fee to participate in the event, and attendees are welcome to wear red and bring their own photos, signs or collages of their loved ones, according to the event description.
