(Riverton, WY) – The initial pretrial conference for the case of former Detective Billy Whiteplume vs the Riverton Police Department (RPD) that was scheduled for today, June 12, has been reset, according to federal Court documents.
The conference is now scheduled to take place on July 1, before the Honorable Judge Alan B. Johnson.
Whiteplume, a former detective for RPD and member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, is suing RPD for racial discrimination, retaliation and a hostile work environment.
RPD went on to deny the allegations in Whiteplume’s complaint, and the subsequent pretrial conference was scheduled.
That conference will now take place on July 1.
