(Jackson, WY) – The Wind River Community Alliance will recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day today, Oct. 14, with a celebration in the Theater Lobby at the Center for the Arts in Jackson.
The free, family event begins at 5:30 p.m. with “connection through food, storytelling and celebration,” the event description states.
At 6:30 p.m., the Wind River Dancers “will honor us with a performance of dance, drums, and singing in the theater,” the description says, and at 7:30 p.m. attendees will “socialize and celebrate more” until the event ends at 8:30 p.m.
“Please join in celebrating and honoring America’s first inhabitants and the Tribal Nations that continue to thrive today,” organizers said.
