Exciting opportunities for the Wind River Indian Reservation are on the horizon, thanks to a significant $36 million Recompete Grant awarded to the Wind River Development Fund (WRDF) by the U.S. Economic Development Administration. To share how this funding will benefit the region, the WRDF and its partners are hosting two community meetings:

What’s the Grant About?
The Recompete Grant aims to boost economic development, create jobs, and enhance collaboration between organizations serving the Wind River community. This funding will support various initiatives involving WRDF partners, such as Tribal Fish & Game, Doya Natsu, Eastern Shoshone Tribal Health, the Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative, the Wind River Food Sovereignty Project, and Central Wyoming College.
These meetings will provide an opportunity to learn more about how the grant will support projects that empower local enterprises, preserve cultural heritage, and advance food sovereignty, health, and education in the community.
