Brooklyn is the daughter of Jeff & Janet Bates. Brooklyn participates in Yearbook and Art. She enjoys taking lots of photos and helping with the marketing aspects for the school. Brooklyn is also a member of the National Honor Society. A few of her special awards and honors include the Profile of a Cougar Pillar – Persistence, and several other academic awards. Outside of school, Brooklyn enjoys reading, writing, painting, and photography. She also loves spending time with her animals; especially her dog named Thumper! After graduation, Brooklyn plans to attend college at the University of Wyoming to study writing and photography. Nominating staff say, “Brooklyn's work is steady and focused toward her goals. She demonstrates distinguished leadership in social settings guiding and inspiring others through her actions. The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate toward others is outstanding, expecting nothing in return. She is a positive person and someone that you can always depend on. Brooklyn is creative in the Arts and has the ability to generate original ideas, objects, or solutions to problems through the use of imagination. She is focused on finding good outcomes with her peer relationships and with adults.” Congratulations Brooklyn!
