Brooklyn is the daughter of Jeff and Janet Bates and is a Junior here at Wind River High School. Brooklyn participates in yearbook, art, National Honor Society, and in previous years has participated in Student/Class Council. A few of her special awards and honors include various honor rolls throughout High School, State Art Symposium twice and last year won 2 ribbons! Outside of school, Brooklyn
enjoys activities like photography, ranching, and reading. After High School, she plans to pursue a career in marketing and/or writing.
Nominating staff describe Brooklyn as, “willing and able to engage with complex texts and subjects in a way that supports a critical dialogue, often by blending written and visual mediums to reach a broader audience. She is consistently creative and brings a needed energy to her school work and beyond.” Congratulations Brooklyn on Student of the Week!
