Each week, staff at Wind River School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior towards their peers and their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will present a scholarship of $500 to one of the students nominated! Click here to view all students.
Jenasha Torrez was nominated as the Wind River High School student of the week by Marilyn Flammang.
Week of Aug. 25 – Aug. 28
Jenasha is the daughter of Chivonne and Rocky Torrez and is a senior at Wind River High School. She participates in art and woodworking. Jenasha's special awards and honors include honor roll, Wyoming Art Symposium ribbons, High Plains Power Award, Wyoming Game and Fish Stamp award, and Wind River School Art Best of Show. Jenasha enjoys chalk art competitions, painting and drawing, photography, spending time with friends and family, and working for her tribe in the summer. After graduation, Jenasha plans to attend college to pursue a degree and to be an Art Teacher. Nominating staff said, "Jenasha has a wonderful, creative, artist mind. She is a breath of fresh air in my Art classes. I am always excited to see what subject and media Jensha chooses and how she is able to make her artwork look alive. She has truly been blessed with an amazing art talent." Congratulations Jenasha Torrez!
