Each week, staff at Wind River School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior towards their peers and their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will present a scholarship of $500 to one of the students nominated! Click here to view all students.
Quill Nelson was nominated as the Wind River High School student of the week by Teacher .
Quill Nelson is the daughter of Lajuana St. Clair and is currently a freshman at Wind River. She participates in volleyball and basketball. A few of her special awards include lettering for volleyball and receiving the UPA Award from WHSAA. Nominating staff comment that, “Quill shows up everyday with a determination to learn. She does so with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Quill is cooperative with her peers; having meaningful discussions when asked to do so, and seeking teacher assistance as needed. Additionally, she is also incredibly kind to her teachers and is eager to learn new material. Quill is truly a great addition to Wind River and we are so lucky to get to have her as part of our student body!” Outside of school, Quill participates in AAU Volleyball and enjoys reading and watching movies. After graduation, Quill would like to attend college at either MSU Bozeman or CU Boulder to pursue a degree in science.
