Amanda Jenkins was nominated as the Wind River Job Corps student of the week by Carpentry Instructor Shawn Johnson.
Amanda joined Job Corps with a clear vision for her future: to gain the skills needed to build a strong and lasting career. Inspired by a family deeply rooted in the carpentry industry, she felt confident that this trade would be the right path for her. Her instructor shares that Amanda is always one of the first to step up, take initiative, and get the job done with determination and focus. As she progresses in her training, Amanda is considering joining the UBC union or continuing the craft alongside her family. We’re incredibly proud of her dedication and the leadership.
