Valerie Mattox was nominated as the Wind River Job Corps student of the week by Center Director, Matthew Davis.
Valerie Mattox, from Katy, Texas, joined Wind River Job Corps in July 2024 to shape her future. Excelling in the UBC Carpentry trade program, she earned her certification and is now preparing for advanced drone pilot training at Oneonta Job Corps in New York. Driven by a desire for independence and a hands-on education, Valerie embraced leadership roles, earned her high school diploma in under a month, and contributed meaningfully to her community. She remains committed to advancing her skills in civil engineering and technology. Congratulations Valerie!
