Winter Life Drawing Sessions
Winter in Lander is the perfect time to head indoors and reconnect with your artistic practice. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or someone who hasn’t picked up a charcoal stick since high school, the Winter Life Drawing Series offers the space and community to help you grow!
Facilitated by artist Jenny Reeves-Johnson, these sessions are uninstructed and free-form. No critiques, no pressure, just the freedom to capture the human form from a live, clothed model in a supportive, collaborative environment.

I Like Big Bowls
If you’re an ace at throwing small projects, like a mug, on the pottery wheel, you may want to check out this winter’s classes in the clay studio, designed to help you with larger forms.
Pottery instructor Shannon Wachowski will take intermediate students through the process of throwing larger amounts of clay on Tuesdays at the Lander Art Center. (Beginning students are encouraged to take the “Intro to Wheel Throwing” class first.)
You should be prepared to throw two or more pounds of clay and learn techniques to make casserole dishes, large bowls, pie plates, and platters. All tools and materials are provided!

Wednesday Night Clay
Want to try out pottery making, but don’t know if you want to sign up for a class? Drop in for a Wednesday night session, or grab a punch pass if you want to make it a weekly ritual.
Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned maker who just wants a dedicated time to create alongside fellow artists, this is your space. A knowledgeable and encouraging clay instructor will be on hand every Wednesday evening to guide you, answer questions, and share tips and tricks to help you on your way.
