A Winter Storm Watch is in place for most of Wyoming late Tuesday and throughout Wednesday.
Some higher elevation areas are expected to get up to 2 feet of new snowfall. Southeastern Wyoming is expecting between 5-10 inches of snowfall.
Fremont County areas may see some significant accumulation as well, though totals vary at this point. 1-3 inches are expected in most local areas as of Tuesday morning.
According to DayWeather’s Don Day, travel will be impacted along I-80 and I-25. The storm could also affect Riverton and Lander area highways, and South Pass. Strong winds could enter the mix Wednesday afternoon and will contribute to hazardous travel conditions as well.
