(Casper, WY) – Riverton junior varsity football traveled to Casper to meet the Cheyenne East junior varsity in a rare evening game at Dick Cheney Field at Casper’s Natrona High School.
In an exciting back-and-forth contest kicking off at 6 pm, the young Wolverines gave the junior T-Birds everything they wanted in a high scoring shootout won by the Capital City team 40-34.
Riverton led 35-34 late in the game, but the T-Birds were able to mount a final drive to edge Riverton.
It was the first loss for the junior varsity football team this season, and until Monday night, they had not been scored on.
