(Shoshoni, WY) – It was a good opening weekend for the Shoshoni boys facing four Class 4-A sophomore squads at home as part of the Strannigan Classic in Riverton. The Wranglers won three and lost a close one, 58-57 to the Star Valley Sophomores to go 3-1 on the weekend.
The Wranglers handled Cheyenne Central 60-41, doubled up Riverton 64-32 and beat Cheyenne East 50-39.
Senior forward Quinton Clark led the team in scoring over the weekend.
“Overall we had a really good weekend. We learned a lot, grew a lot, and improved a lot,” Shoshoni head coach Taylor Dick said. “We were able to fix some small things on the fly and we found out we have some really tough kids who want to compete and believe in one another. Looking forward to the Wrangler invite.”
Shoshoni is in action beginning Thursday even with their annual Wrangler Classic.
