Shoshoni entertained the 9-man East Conference Wright Panthers at home on Friday afternoon in a contest that featured live action along with some plays from a controlled scrimmage.
The Wranglers used four first half takeaways to beat the Panthers 14-6 in the Zero Week contest.
Shoshoni entertains Pine Bluffs this Friday in their home opener at 6 p.m.
Class 1-A 9-man has just six teams in the West Conference and seven in the East after Riverside dropped to 6-man. St. Stephen’s also dropped to 6-man but the Eagles will not field a varsity team this season.
Rocky Mountain, Greybull, Wind River, Shoshoni, Wyoming Indian and Big Piney comprise the West 9-man league.
In the East 9-man its Wright, Lusk, Southeast Goshen, Pine Bluffs, Guernsey-Sunrise, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, and Saratoga.
