The Wyoming Arts Council is proud to announce the inaugural members of the Wyoming Youth Arts Council (WYAC). This new statewide initiative empowers high school students to serve as creative leaders, advocates, and community builders in the arts.
The WYAC brings together 15 high school students from across Wyoming who, over the next year, will participate in leadership training, statewide arts conversations, and a youth-led creative project designed to strengthen Wyoming’s arts ecosystem while providing workforce development opportunities for students.
The 2025–26 Wyoming Youth Arts Council members are:

“It’s important to have youth voices at the table,” said Amara Fehring, community development and arts learning specialist at the Wyoming Arts Council. “These young artists will bring a unique perspective to the bigger arts conversations happening across the state. Programs should reflect what young people value and envision for Wyoming. Elevating their voices fosters leadership, creativity, and an arts community that belongs to them and future generations.”
The WYAC will meet monthly from September through May. Members will gain practical experience in leadership and communication, explore creative career pathways, and collaborate on projects that bring arts and culture to Wyoming communities.
