(Yoder, WY) – For the Thompson family, rodeo is in the DNA. Southeast High School’s Hadley Thompson claimed the title of “all-around cowgirl” at last week’s National High School Finals Rodeo, which was held in Hadley’s home state at the Sweetwater Events Complex in Rock Springs.
She now joins her sister, Haiden as an all-around champion at a prestigious event. Haiden competes for Gillette College and was the 2025 women’s all-around winner of the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper this June.
Hadley told WyoPreps that she was pretty optimistic about her chances going into the year’s final rodeo, “I just had a feeling that it’s gonna go good, I just wanted to do my job and hope it turned out good.”
Thompson won buckles in both goat tying and breakaway roping. “It feels great to know all my hard works paid off,” she concluded. Hadley then thanked her family and supporters, “I couldn’t do it without ’em.”
