Wyoming folks stress levels are decreasing analysts say

(Wyoming) – Each year at about this time, we’re given a study from the folks at WalletHub about the most and least stressed places is the United States. And while this is an incredibly broad measurement of stress levels, they do factor in nearly 50 different statistics on what residents have been doing over the last 12 months.

Things like; work hours per capita, where residents are getting the best sleep, adults in poor health, credit scores, affordable housing and much more.

In 2024, the same study revealed that Wyoming was the 23rd most-stressed state in the country.

This year, numbers have improved pretty dramatically, lowering the Equality State to 37th most-stressed.

Numbers improved from ’24 to ’25 in job stress, money stress and family stress. On the more negative side however, Wyoming ranks poorly when it comes to the lists “health and safety” category, ranking as the 14th most-stressed place.

When it comes to states that are most stressed, topping the list this year were

  1. New Mexico
  2. Nevada
  3. Louisiana
  4. West Virginia
  5. Mississippi

The least stressed states this year are…

  1. Nebraska
  2. Minnesota
  3. New Hampshire
  4. South Dakota
  5. Iowa
