United States Forest Service officials are seeking help investigating the person or people responsible for starting a destructive fire in western Wyoming last year.
The Roosevelt Fire near Bondurant, Wyoming burned more structures than any wildfire in Wyoming history.
It was started September 14th or September 15th during the opening weekend of rifle season for deer hunting.
The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports that investigators determined the fire began from an abandoned wiring fire near the Hoback River drainage. The fire ignited about three miles west of the Upper Hoback Trailhead.
Officials think the person responsible may have used that location as a spot to camp overnight.
