(Cheyenne) – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is inviting public feedback on proposed changes to several hunting regulations for the 2025 season. A formal comment period is now open for a range of hunting-related rules, including those governing antelope, deer, elk, moose, and bighorn sheep seasons.
The regulations open for comment include:
Chapter 2: General Hunting Regulation
Chapter 5: Antelope Hunting Seasons
Chapter 6: Deer Hunting Seasons
Chapter 7: Elk Hunting Seasons
Chapter 8: Moose Hunting Seasons
Chapter 9: Bighorn Sheep and Mountain Goat Hunting Seasons
Chapter 11: Upland Game Bird and Small Game Hunting Seasons
Chapter 14: Migratory Game Bird Hunting Seasons and Light Goose Conservation Order
Chapter 15: Wild Bison Recreational Hunting Season
Chapter 20: Wild Turkey Hunting Seasons
If passed, House Bill 3 would grant Game and Fish law enforcement officers the authority to enforce penalties for violations related to W.S. 6-3-1002 (b) and 6-3-1004.
To provide hunters and residents with an opportunity to learn more about the proposed changes, Game and Fish will host public meetings across the state. These meetings will offer attendees the chance to ask questions, gain insights into local wildlife populations, and speak directly with Game and Fish biologists and wardens.
The Lander Region meetings are scheduled as follows:
- March 20, 2025 – Dubois (6 p.m.) at Headwaters Arts and Conference Center (20 Stalnaker St.)
- March 25, 2025 – Rawlins (6 p.m.) at Carbon County Higher Education Center (1650 Harshman St.)
- March 25, 2025 – Riverton (6 p.m.) at Fremont County Library (1330 W. Park Ave.)
- March 27, 2025 – Lander (6 p.m.) at Lander Game & Fish Regional Office (260 Buena Vista Dr.)
