Wyoming had more internet searches recently for Eddie Van Halen than any other state

Rock and roll fans across the world are mourning the death Tuesday of guitarist Eddie Van Halen. He passed away at the age of 65 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

On a local note, we did a small bit of research to find that it appears he had many fans in Wyoming.

According to searches from Bing, Wyoming’s “Eddie Van Halen” search percentage was higher than any other state. Washington, Alaska, Rhode Island, and South Dakota are also big Eddie fans it appears by search volume.

Old school rockers may also recall when Van Halen played at the Casper Events Center in 1986 with Bachman Turner Overdrive. 9,178 people were in attendance at that show.
