House Bill 192 failed by a 30-29 vote on Wednesday in the Wyoming House of Representatives.
The bill proposed a requirement for voters to present a photo ID before casting a ballot during an election.
Bill supporters said the measure would ensure the integrity of the elections, opponents said there isn’t a problem with voter fraud on Wyoming.
According to the Associated Press, Casper Republican Chuck Gray proposed this bill.
