The Wyoming House has passed House Bill 44 by an overwhelming 8-1 vote Monday.
The bill is sponsored by Rep. John Winter, a Republican representing Fremont, Park, Big Horn, and Hot Springs Counties.
The bill now moves to the Wyoming Senate. A bill to eliminate time changes also passed the Wyoming House last year, but was defeated in the Senate after a tie vote.
If the bill passes the Senate this year, however, four other bordering states would have to unanimously agree to also discontinue the time change. Those states are; Colorado, Utah, Montana, and Idaho.
