(Fremont County, WY) – The four representatives of Fremont County that remain ranked in the WyoPreps.com Coaches & Media Basketball Poll this week have been there all season long.
Wyoming Indian’s boys and girls in class 2A and the Lander boys and girls in 3A.
In the latest girls rankings, Wyoming Indian stays steady at #3 behind Big Horn and Sundance. They did receive one first place vote. Tongue River ranks fourth and Greybull slides into the top five, replacing Pine Bluffs.
In class 3A, the top five remains exactly the same. Cody #1, Pinedale #2, Lander #3. Wheatland and Lovell round out the top five with Powell, Douglas and Buffalo receiving votes. That sets up quite the show down Friday as #2 Pinedale hosts #3 Lander. The only team the Wranglers have lost to early in the season was Lander. Cokeville’s girls are on top of 1A and Cheyenne East in 4A.
On the boys side of things, Wyoming Indian is down a spot to #2 in class 2A. Thermopolis takes over the #1 position… barely. Big Horn, Pine Bluffs and Wright remain 3, 4 and 5.
In class 3A Lander jumps a spot from 4th to 3rd after beating Lyman on the road. Lovell and Douglas remain 1 and 2. Powell slides down one spot to 4th and Buffalo holds steady at #5.
Sheridan is on top in 4A and Lingle-Ft. Laramie is a unanimous choice in 1A.
