(Ethete, WY) – As part of Native American Heritage Month and to reinforce Wyoming Indian School’s District Goal of “Everyone graduates and becomes a contributing member of the community,” Wyoming Indian School’s alumni were invited to participate in an all-school assembly on November 21 at the Alfred Redman, Sr. Gymnasium.
The assembly started with the Wyoming Indian High School drum group singing the Arapaho Flag Song, and Leo “Chico” Her Many Horses served as the Master of Ceremonies.
The assembly highlighted the graduation year of all classes from preschool to seniors; Classes stood up with their graduation years and received applause from the entire student body. Participating alumni represented classes from each decade and showcased their graduation regalia and positive messages of encouragement with students.
The assembly ended with an all-school round dance featuring students and staff from Wyoming Indian Schools.
