Four Fremont County teams are going to the state tournament in Casper this week.
The Wyoming Indian boys and girls, the St. Stephens girls, and the Shoshoni girls all qualified at regional tournaments in Riverton and Lander last weekend.
Wyoming Indian High School qualified in style, with both the boys and girls teams winning 2A West regional championships.
The Lady Chiefs had dominating wins over Riverside, Rocky Mountain, and Greybull in the championship game, beating the Lady Buffs 60-37.
The Wyoming Indian boys beat Riverside and Tongue River before matching up with Rocky Mountain in the title game. They beat Rocky 49-41.
The St. Stephens ladies advanced to the 1A West Regional championship game in Lander after beating Saratoga and Farson-Eden. The Lady Eagles fell to Cokeville in the championship game 61-45.
The Shoshoni Lady Blue are also going to state after beating Wind River on a double-overtime buzzer beater Saturday in a state qualifying game 43-41. Shoshoni fell to Rocky Mountain on Thursday but bounced back Friday to beat Riverside. The Shoshoni win ended the season for Wind River’s ladies. Coincidentally, the Wind River boys also had their season ended on an overtime buzzer beater, falling to Kemmerer in a state-qualifying game.

9:00 p.m. Wyoming Indian boys Vs. Wright at Casper College
