Wyoming is one of the most BBQ obsessed states

When most people think of American BBQ, their mind’s typically go to places like Kansas City, Texas, Memphis, or the Carolina’s.

What a new survey tells us though, the Rocky Mountain’s are holding their own in the BBQ world.

The website Zippia just made a list that found the most BBQ obsessed states in the country. They factored many different things into the study, including restaurants per capita and internet search for terms like; “BBQ, Brisket, Ribs, and BBQ sauce.”

Overall, they found that Wyoming ranked 4th on the most BBQ obsessed list. Here’s how the list broke down.

MOST BBQ OBSESSED STATES:

1. Montana
2. Kansas
3. Missouri
4. Wyoming
5. Oklahoma

LEAST BBQ OBSESSED STATES:

50. Rhode Island

49. Massachusetts

48. New York

47. Connecticut

46. New Jersey
