On December 9th, 2018 a fatal crash occurred at milepost 80 on Wyoming 59 near Wright, Wyoming. Around 5:05 p.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the area for a motor vehicle crash.
A 2017 Dodge truck was traveling south on Wyoming 59. The driver of the vehicle sustained a medical emergency causing him to drift off the right shoulder of the roadway, coming to a stop after colliding with three separate fences.
The driver of the Dodge truck has been identified as 60-year-old Gillette, Wyoming resident Dale Patterson. Patterson was transported to the Campbell County Memorial Hospital but succumbed to his medical emergency.
