(Wyoming) – If you’re one of the over 60 million Americans that suffers from seasonal “hay fever,” we’ve got some bad news about where you live.
Though, through your wheezing and water eyes, you’ve probably already noticed that Wyoming is prone to high pollen counts. The folks at Bee Inspired measured pollen index scores from across multiple United States locations, finding that Wyoming has the 6th highest count in America on average.
Wyoming has an average of a 5.95 pollen score. Oregon ranks as the nation’s highest pollen count at a staggering 8.17 score. Idaho, Colorado, Utah and Washington all rank above us, each with scores in the “6-range.”
States that give hay fever sufferers the least trouble according to the list are; Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Tennessee, each with low pollen count index scores.
The survey also identified Wyoming’s highest pollen count areas. Evanston ranks as the worst spot with a pollen concentration score of 6.65. Diamondville and Frontier, WY also rank among the Cowboy State locations with the most pollen.
