Wyoming ranks as one of the most tax-friendly states to live in

(Wyoming) – By comparison, Wyoming folks have it pretty good when it comes to taxes.

According to a new study, the Equality State ranks as the state with the 3rd lowest “tax burden” in the United States.

WalletHub’s survey suggest that Wyoming’s property tax burden is the 15th highest, but individual income tax and sales tax are low enough to put our state near the bottom of the list.

Tax Burden in Wyoming (1=Highest, 25=Avg.):

• 48^th – Overall Tax Burden (6.14%)
• 15^th – Property Tax Burden (3.33%)
• 44^th – Individual Income Tax Burden (0.00%)
• 40^th – Total Sales & Excise Tax Burden (2.81%)

Alaska is the state with the least tax burden, followed by Tennessee, Wyoming, Delaware and New Hampshire.

The highest tax burdened state is New York, followed by Hawaii, Vermont, Maine and Connecticut.
