When it comes to overall energy usage, Wyoming ranks as one of the least energy efficient states in the nation.
A new study from WalletHub ranked both auto energy and home energy efficiency. Statistics on energy consumption per capita were recorded based on several different metrics.
The study found that among the lower-48 states, Wyoming ranked 38th overall in energy efficiency.
We did fare much better in home energy efficiency, 18th, than auto efficiency, 48th.
Oregon ranked as the best state for auto efficiency, while Utah was number one in home efficiency. Overall, the most energy efficient states included Utah, New York, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Rhode Island.
The least included South Carolina, West Virginia, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Alabama.
