(Wyoming) – A new study found that Wyoming’s road conditions rank as the fourth best in the United States.
Local Tire Guys provided a detailed breakdown of some 2025 data from the Bureau of Transportation Federal Highway Administration. The total miles of road in each state and the total miles of “acceptable road conditions” were taken into consideration to find the overall percentage of what they deemed acceptable road conditions.
Nationwide, Indiana ranked as the state with the best percentage of acceptable road surfaces, at 97.4%. Kansas and South Dakota ranked slightly ahead of Wyoming, which came in at 94.9% acceptable, tying with Vermont.
The statistics indicate that there are a total of 6,268 miles of roadway across the Cowboy State and that 5,948 of that are in acceptable condition.
