According to the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office, there were 32,147 absentee ballots ast this year ahead of today’s primary election.
Voters cast early ballots via mail, or in-person if they needed to before election day. The Secretary of State’s Office said about 90% of the ballots sent out in the mail were returned.
Polls will remain open across the state today until 7:00 p.m.
In an unusual twist Monday, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate withdrew from the race.
Charlie Hardy announced he had decided to scratch his name from the ballot, less than 24 hours before voting began. Hardy was challenging to defeat incumbent John Barrasso.
