(Riverton, WY) – Wyoming Senior Citizens Inc. (WSCI) has been dedicated to helping older adults maintain their independence for five decades.
WSCI is a non-profit that administers a variety of valuable programs, including in‑home services for the elderly, the Senior Companion and Foster Grandparent initiatives that pair elders or youth with volunteers for mutual support and companionship, and the Long‑Term Care Ombudsman who advocate for residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Their 50th anniversary celebration in Riverton Tuesday afternoon featured a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Riverton Chamber of Commerce, food provided by Dos Salitos food truck, and a tribute to their staff, volunteers and partners who have assisted their efforts.
