Wyoming teenager cycling to help fight childhood cancer

“Kids should be living life, not fighting for it,” says 14-year-old Sarah Keefe.

The Cheyenne teenager is participating in this year’s Great Cycle Challenge USA. The event encourages folks from all across the country to set a bike riding goal, see if they can make that goal throughout the month of September, and to raise money while doing it.

Proceeds from the challenge will support the Children’s Cancer Research Fund.

Keefe hopes to ride 100 miles through September in her Cheyenne neighborhood.

Sarah explained on her page that she isn’t affected personally by childhood cancer, but she did lose an uncle last year from the disease. She’s riding in his honor and hoping to help some kids while doing so.
