(Atlanta, GA) – Cody, Wyoming’s Luke Talich is representing the Cowboy State in college football’s national championship game Monday night.
Talich, a sophomore safety on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, has had a productive season thus far. He’s recorded 13 solo tackles and 6 more assisted. His biggest individual moment this season was a 79-yard interception return for a touchdown against Florida State.
The Cody-native’s team has advanced to college football’s title game after going 14-1 this season. That includes playoff wins over Indiana, Georgia and Penn State.
Next up, it’s the impressive Ohio State Buckeyes. OSU enters as 8.5 point favorites at 13-2 overall. The Buckeyes have beat Tennessee, Oregon and Texas on their route to the final game.
The National Championship game kicks off from Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta at 5:30 p.m. Monday night. ESPN has the television coverage.
