Wyoming economists say the state’s overall economy is rebounding from it’s latest energy bust, but add that the state has only recovered about 1/3 of jobs lost during the energy downturn.
A report from the Wyoming Tribune Eagle suggests that Wyoming Department of Administration and Information data shows growth in multiple sectors including employment, personal income, housing prices, and state revenu.e
The state’s total employment grew by roughly 2,800 jobs in the last quarter. Mineral extraction employment grew 1.5 percent from last year.
However, the state still continues to feel the impact of nearly 20,000 jobs lost in 2015 and 2016.
