(Yellowstone National Park) – Yellowstone National Park officials announced this week they’re planning to open the east entrance on Friday, May 2nd. The Park did note, the scheduled opening day is weather pending. As of Tuesday, temps are projected to be in the mid-50’s with sunshine Friday and Saturday.
Yellowstone’s east entrance will allow visitors the opportunity to access Lake Village, Fishing Bridge and Canyon Village.
Buckrail announced earlier this week that Yellowstone is also hoping to open their south entrance on May 9th.
2024 saw America’s first national parks second-busiest year of all-time with 4,744,353 visitors. 2021 was a record-breaking year with 4.86 million travelers coming to the park months after the peak of the COVID-19 outbreak.
