After years of hard work, unwavering community support, and a shared vision for better healthcare, Riverton Medical District is thrilled to invite the public to a milestone event: a Construction Celebration on Wednesday, June 4, at 11:00 am.
Join us at the hospital site, 2505 N Federal Boulevard, for a special beam signing ceremony, where attendees will have the opportunity to sign a structural beam that will become a permanent part of the hospital. This ceremony is a meaningful symbol of the strength and support of our community—and a chance for every resident to be part of Riverton’s healthcare future.
Brief remarks will be shared by project partners and local leaders, celebrating this momentous occasion and what it means for the future of healthcare in Fremont County.
“This is the celebration we’ve all been waiting for,” said RMD Board Chair, Corte McGuffey. “It’s taken years of determination, and we’ve overcome major challenges together. We’re deeply grateful to our partners and this incredible community. Now it’s time to come together and celebrate—this hospital belongs to all of us.”
Construction began in December on a nonprofit hospital that will be locally governed and owned by Riverton Medical District, ensuring healthcare decisions remain in the hands of the community. This milestone represents more than just a building—it’s the return of community-based healthcare to Fremont County. With decisions being made right here at home, the new facility reflects the priorities, values, and needs of the people it serves. Through a formal affiliation with Billings Clinic, a nationally recognized leader in rural healthcare, the hospital will combine local leadership with trusted clinical expertise to deliver high-quality care close to home.
The new two-story, 71,000-square-foot hospital and clinic will provide a wide range of health care services to serve local needs, including:
• 13 inpatient beds, including labor and delivery and intensive care services
• Two surgical suites
• Emergency Department featuring a trauma bay and helicopter pad
• State-of-the-art radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy services
• An outpatient clinic for primary and specialty care
Once fully operational, it will offer high-quality primary, acute, emergency, and specialty care services such as trauma, orthopedics, and 24/7 surgery availability. The new facility is scheduled for completion in late 2026.
