(Riverton, WY) – The annual Wyoming Youth in STEM events will return to Central Wyoming College in Riverton May 20 and 21 this year.
Since 2004, the event has encouraged Wyoming 7th-12th graders to attended workshops for hands-on learning experiences in the STEM fields. Students are able to select from a variety of classes and labs what they’re hoping to learn more about. LASERs, archeology, arc-welding, an escape room, gardening, even a cow eyeball dissection and much, much more is on tap for the event again this year!
Peggy Peterson and Geri Swanson from the National Weather Service are hoping coordinate the event again this year. They explain to us that through the years they’ve averaged from around 180-220 students at the two-day event.
