(Gillette, WY) – On Friday, July 9th, at 11:40 PM, Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) troopers were notified of a fatal one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 90 near Gillette.
50-year-old Gillette resident Bradley Bjornstad was driving west on I-90 when he abruptly exited the roadway and entered the median, according to the WHP release. The vehicle then collided with a cable divider, and overturned.
The report states that Bjornsrud was not wearing a seatbelt, and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
This is the 49th fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2021 compared to 49 in 2020, 86 in 2019, and 53 in 2018 to date.
