(Arapaho, WY) – Hundreds gathered at the Powwow Grounds for the annual Northern Arapaho Powwow last Friday through Saturday in Arapaho off Left Hand Ditch Road.
This year’s royalty included Little Princess Taveah Glick, Little Brave Landen C’hair, Princess Jacaisha Blackburn, and Princess TayaAvy Dixey. Dixey, an incoming senior basketball standout at Wyoming Indian, was recognized Sunday night for her achievements on and off the court as she boasts excellent grades as well as lettering in volleyball and Track.The color guard presented the flags inside the arbor Saturday night in Arapaho. h/t Carl Cote, County 10
Vendors of food, drink, and clothing joined dancers and their families for three days of celebration of Arapaho culture in the heart of the reservation.
