(Riverton, WY) – The Boys & Girls Club of Riverton is proud to announce their 6th Annual Awards & Recognition Breakfast featuring three time Super Bowl champion Ed McCaffrey, raising critical funds to support local youth. The United for Impact event will be held on Wednesday, April 22, at the Fremont Center in Riverton. Doors will open at 6:15 a.m., with breakfast served at 6:30 a.m.
Ed McCaffrey will deliver the keynote address, followed by a Q&A panel with local youth. McCaffrey played wide receiver in the NFL from 1991 to 2003, winning three Super Bowls, one with the San Francisco 49ers and two with the Denver Broncos. A Pro Bowl selection and member of the Broncos’ 50th Anniversary Team, McCaffrey later transitioned into coaching, serving as head football coach at Valor Christian High School and at the University of Northern Colorado through 2022. He and his wife Lisa have four sons who played football, including Christian McCaffrey, a standout running back for the San Francisco 49ers.
Curt Galitz, a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Central Wyoming Board of Directors, shared, “The Boys & Girls Club of Riverton plays a vital role in helping young people build confidence, develop life skills, and see what’s possible for their futures. The daily mentorship, healthy meals and snacks, and safe environment the Club provides make a lasting impact on our community. This event is an exciting opportunity for Riverton to come together and invest in our youth.”
During the 2024–2025 year, the Boys & Girls Club of Riverton served 315 members, reaching a total of 729 youth, and provided 18,753 healthy snacks and meals. The Club operates with an annual budget of $467,350 and offers programming focused on academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles for youth after school, on no school days, and throughout the summer.
