All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Janet Keyes, 38, of Fremont County, is facing one count abuse of a vulnerable adult.
The charges are related to a report on May 7th, 2019 that is alleged to have taken place at Wyoming Life Resource Center in Lander. Keyes waived her preliminary hearing on August 12th, 2019. The case is being transferred to District Court.
Court documents describe an assault in which Keyes allegedly “smacks” the victim in the face with a shoe and a wet washcloth three to four times each. It is reported the victim sustained bruising to their cheek.
Keyes is being charged with:
- One count abuse of a vulnerable adult (felony) has a maximum penalty of imprisonment for no more than 10 years, a fine of no more than $10,000 or both.
