(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that dense fog will persist until about 11 AM today, January 6.
As the fog dissipates, there will be increasing clouds ahead of the next approaching weather system in the upper northwest flow, Lipson added, with occasional light snow developing by mid-afternoon, continuing into the evening hours.
Lipson says we should see less than an inch of snow in Riverton, around an inch in Lander and the Wind River Canyon area, and up to 2 inches in Sinks Canyon by this evening. Patchy fog is expected tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that very light snow will remain possible tonight in isolated areas.
High temperatures will be in the 20’s for most today, with lows tonight in the teens.
